Learn about our grants.

Our grants offer emerging filmmakers the opportunity to explore, evolve, and develop stories that provide new perspectives, offer education, and connect with audiences on a deeper level. From changing narratives to systems change, we seek to partner with those promoting new human paradigms.

Who is eligible

If you’re an independent writer, director or producer who considers themselves an emerging filmmaker with a career goal to be a self-sustaining filmmaker – then we want to hear from you. As an organization, we seek to support individuals and small teams producing independent documentaries. 

Our grants can be used for

Our grants focus on supporting the aspects of post-production and distribution for documentary films. We do not cover personal expenses, but funds can be used for workshops or technical courses to benefit individuals in their post-production phase.

What we need from you

Before filling out a grant application, please be sure to have the following prepared:

  • Resume
  • Project Overview 
  • Production Plan & Budget 

How to submit application

Download the Grant Application PDF form below and complete all of the required fields. After completion, send the completed form along with a PDF of your resume to info@rjchristensen-fdn.org

In the email “Subject” line, please include “Grant Application” along with your full name.
